Where Do You Start?
Imagine You have just moved to a new city. You play guitar, You are looking for a drummer and a rehearsal room โ but You do not know a single musician here. Where do You start? That is exactly what I Am Musician (IMM) is for.
Or maybe You have been in the same city for years, but Your band just lost a bassist. Or You teach piano and want students nearby. Or You run a rehearsal studio and need a simple way to manage bookings. IMM connects all of these people โ on mobile and on the web.
Who It Is For
IMM is built for the music ecosystem โ not just performers:
- Musicians: You are a vocalist looking for a band. A jazz guitarist looking for a weekly jam partner. A sound engineer looking for session work. IMM helps You create a profile, showcase Your specializations and portfolio, and appear in feeds for musicians nearby who need exactly what You offer.
- Bands: You are forming a new project and need a keyboardist. Or Your established band wants a public page to attract collaborators. Bands on IMM can manage members, publish posts, and be discovered in the bands feed.
- Organizations: You run a rehearsal room, a music school, a recording studio, or a venue. IMM lets You publish Your spaces, manage schedules, and accept bookings through the Reptochka feature โ all without building Your own app.
- Guests: Not ready to sign up yet? That is fine. You can browse public feeds โ see musicians, bands, posts, classifieds, and organizations โ without creating an account. When You are ready to message someone or publish Your own profile, registration takes a minute.
What You Can Do
Here is what IMM makes possible โ with real examples:
- Discover musicians and bands nearby. Open the musicians feed, set Your city or radius, filter by specialization (drums, vocals, mixing...). Find a saxophonist 3 km away who is also looking for a jazz combo.
- Build a profile that works for You. Add specializations, portfolio items (recordings, videos, photos), Your city for nearby discovery, and decide which contact details are visible. Your profile is Your musical CV.
- Post "Na Dushe". Share musical thoughts, reflections, behind-the-scenes moments. Think of it as a music-focused microblog within the community โ not another generic social network.
- Find and post classifieds. Selling a guitar amp? Looking for a session drummer for Saturday? Classifieds keep it practical and music-focused.
- Join or create collaborations. Working on an album with people in different cities? Collaboration spaces let hosts manage members, share posts and files, and coordinate without leaving IMM.
- Book rehearsal rooms (Reptochka). Browse organizations that publish rooms, check schedules and pricing notes, and request a booking. Hosts confirm or manage status. No phone tag needed.
- Message directly. Found the perfect drummer? Message them from their profile. Inbox shows threads and unread counts. Notifications keep You updated.
How Discovery Works
IMM is not just a static directory. It is a living feed:
- Feeds for musicians, bands, posts, classifieds, collaborations, and organizations โ each with its own filters.
- Location and radius. Set Your city or allow location for "near me" results. Adjust the radius to see more or fewer results.
- Map and split views. See results on a map, switch between list and map, or use split view to browse cards alongside the map.
- Filters. Narrow by specialization, city, instrument, and other facets. Find exactly what You need without scrolling forever.
Guest vs Registered
You can do a lot without an account:
- As a guest: browse public feeds, view profiles, see posts and classifieds, check organization pages. Guest contact/support forms that ask for Your name or email require consent to Privacy and Terms first.
- With an account: everything above, plus โ create a profile, publish posts, message other users, join bands and collaborations, manage bookings, adjust notification preferences, and access account settings.
Why sign up? Because the best part of IMM is not browsing โ it is connecting. You cannot message a drummer or join a band without an account.
Privacy and Trust
We take Your data seriously:
- IMM asks for consent to Privacy Policy and Terms at signup โ and for guest forms that collect personal data.
- You control what is public on Your profile. Direct messages stay private.
- You can delete Your account or guest data from the app at any time.
- Legal versions are linked from Settings and the website footer โ always accessible.
