Why Guidelines Matter
Imagine walking into a jam session where everyone respects each other, shares gear without drama, and shows up when they said they would. That is the IMM community we are building. These Guidelines exist to keep it that way โ for musicians, bands, organizations, and guests.
They apply to profiles, posts, comments, messages, bookings, collaborations, and any other content or interaction on the platform. They complement the Terms of Service.
Be Respectful and Honest
The foundation of any good music community is mutual respect. Here is what that means on IMM:
- No hate speech, harassment, threats, stalking, or doxxing. Disagreements happen โ attack ideas, not people.
- No discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or other protected characteristics.
- Use a real identity appropriate to the context. Your profile should honestly represent who You are as a musician, band, or organization.
- No fake profiles, impersonation, or misleading claims about skills, availability, experience, or affiliations.
Example of what is OK: "I disagree with that mixing approach โ here is why..." Example of what is NOT: personal insults, public shaming, or threatening messages.
Content Standards
What is allowed in posts, profiles, classifieds, and portfolio items:
- Music-related content is the focus โ performances, recordings, gear, events, collaborations, teaching, learning.
- Keep it legal. No content that violates local or international law. No fraud, scams, or solicitation of illegal activity.
- No sexual exploitation or CSAM. Content involving minors in sexual contexts is reported to authorities immediately.
- Respect copyright. Only upload media (audio, photos, video) that You have the right to use. Credit collaborators.
- Keep public spaces suitable for a general music-professional audience. Profanity in song lyrics is one thing; gratuitous shock content is another.
No Spam, Scams, or Commercial Abuse
- No mass unsolicited messages or repetitive advertisements.
- No link flooding, phishing, or deceptive redirects.
- No automated scraping, credential stuffing, or bot-driven account creation.
- Classifieds are for genuine music-related offers โ not unrelated commercial spam.
If You want to promote Your music school or studio, create a proper organization profile โ do not spam every musician's inbox.
Music-Related Focus
IMM is a platform for musicians and the music ecosystem. Keep Your content relevant:
- Posts in "Na Dushe" should relate to Your musical life, creativity, reflections, or community.
- Classifieds should be about gear, gigs, lessons, collaborations, or music-related services.
- Off-topic commercial content or political campaigning does not belong here.
Moderation and Enforcement
Here is how we keep things fair:
- Hosts (band/collaboration/organization managers) can manage memberships and content in their spaces โ approving join requests, removing posts that break rules, etc.
- Platform moderators review reported content through an in-app moderation hub where enabled.
- Consequences range from content removal to temporary restrictions to permanent account termination, depending on severity and pattern.
We aim to be fair and proportionate. A first-time minor offense gets a different response than repeated intentional abuse.
Rehearsal Booking Etiquette
If You use Reptochka (rehearsal room booking):
- Clients: submit genuine requests. Show up on time or cancel in advance. Respect the space and equipment. Pay agreed fees.
- Hosts: keep room info, schedules, and pricing accurate. Respond to requests promptly. Do not confirm and then ghost.
- Both: communicate clearly. If something changes โ say so. Deceptive booking behavior may lead to moderation.
Privacy of Others
Do not share someone else's phone number, email, home address, private messages, or other personal data without their explicit consent. The location shown on profiles is what that user chose to publish โ do not weaponize it or use it to stalk.
Reporting Problems
If You see something that breaks these Guidelines:
- Use the in-app report/moderation tools where available.
- Or contact us through the Support form.
- Include context โ what happened, who was involved, when.
We review reports and take action where warranted. False reports intended to harass someone are themselves a violation.
Updates to These Guidelines
As IMM grows, these Guidelines may evolve. Material changes will be communicated through the app (Settings notifications, version bumps). Continued use after changes means acceptance of the updated Guidelines.
