1. Browse as a Guest
You do not need an account to start exploring. Open the IMM app or website and You can immediately:
- Browse public feeds — musicians, bands, posts ("Na Dushe"), classifieds, collaborations, organizations.
- Filter by specialization, location/radius, and other facets where enabled.
- View profiles, read posts, check organization pages and room listings.
Guest contact and support forms that ask for Your name or email will require You to accept the Privacy Policy and Terms first — a single checkbox before submission.
2. Create an Account
Ready to do more? Register with email/password or a supported social login (where enabled). During registration:
- You accept the current versions of the Privacy Policy and Terms.
- Choose Your display name and language.
- Verify Your email (recommended for security and recovery).
If legal versions change materially later, the app may ask You to re-consent on Your next launch — so You always know what You have agreed to.
3. Build Your Profile
Your profile is how other musicians find and evaluate You. Here is what You can set up:
- Display name: how You appear in feeds and messages.
- Specializations: guitar, vocals, sound engineering, music production — pick all that apply.
- Portfolio: add items — recordings, video links, photos — to showcase Your work.
- City / location: for nearby discovery. Other musicians searching "drummers within 10 km" will find You if You match.
- Contact visibility: decide which contact details (phone, social links) are public vs. hidden.
Bands and organizations have their own profile types with additional tools — membership management, room publishing, schedules.
4. Discover Musicians and Bands
The heart of IMM is discovery. Here is how to find people:
- Feeds: switch between musicians, bands, posts, classifieds, collaborations, organizations.
- Filters: narrow by specialization, city, radius, instrument, and other facets.
- Map view: see results as pins on a map. Tap a pin to open the profile card.
- Split view: list of cards on one side, map on the other — browse without losing spatial context.
- Radius: adjust how far You want to search. Looking for a bassist in Your neighborhood vs. anywhere in the country? Radius lets You choose.
Open any card for full details: bio, specializations, portfolio, contact options, and actions (message, join, bookmark).
5. Connect and Message
Found someone interesting? Here is how messaging works:
- Tap "Message" from a profile or a contextual action (e.g. responding to a classified).
- Your inbox shows all threads, with unread counts and timestamps.
- Notification preferences (Settings) control which events alert You — new messages, join requests, booking updates, etc.
- Delivery depends on platform configuration (push notifications, polling, or other methods).
6. Join or Create a Band / Collaboration
Music is collaborative. IMM supports that:
- Bands: Create a band profile. Add members. Publish posts under the band name. Appear in the bands feed for others to discover.
- Collaborations: More flexible spaces — for an album project, a one-time event, or an ongoing working group. Hosts manage join requests, roles, content, and files.
- Membership flows: request to join, get approved by the host, participate. Leave or withdraw a pending request from Your membership screens.
7. Organizations and Rehearsal Booking (Reptochka)
If You run a rehearsal room, studio, or music school — or if You need to book one:
- Publishing: Organizations create room listings with descriptions, photos, schedules, and pricing notes.
- Booking flow: Clients browse rooms, pick a time slot, and submit a booking request. Hosts see incoming requests and can confirm, decline, or suggest alternatives.
- Status management: Both sides see booking status (pending, confirmed, completed, cancelled).
- Payments: Online payment may not be available in all regions or versions. Follow the organization's own process for now.

8. Posts "Na Dushe" and Classifieds
Two content types for the community:
- "Na Dushe" (From the soul): short-form posts about Your musical life — reflections, discoveries, studio stories, creative blocks, breakthroughs. Not formal articles, just honest sharing with fellow musicians.
- Classifieds: practical listings — gear for sale, musicians wanted, session offers, studio time available, event announcements. Music-focused (see Guidelines).
9. Moderation and Safety
A healthy community needs trust:
- Community Guidelines set expectations. Read them at /community-guidelines.
- Reporting: if someone breaks the rules, use in-app moderation tools or the Support form.
- Who moderates: entity hosts (band leaders, org admins) manage their own spaces. Platform moderators handle reported content through a moderation hub.
- Consequences: content removal, temporary restrictions, or account termination for serious/repeated violations.
10. Account, Privacy, and Deletion
You are in control of Your data:
- Settings: change password, language, notification preferences, and review legal links.
- Delete account: removes Your profile, content, and messages according to the deletion flow (see Privacy Policy).
- Guest data deletion: Settings → "Delete my data" removes data linked to Your device_id.
- Consent records: may be retained for compliance even after deletion. See Privacy Policy for details.
