FAQ

Do I Need an Account to Browse?

No! You can open IMM and explore public feeds right away โ€” musicians, bands, posts, classifieds, organizations. Think of it like window-shopping: You can see what is available without signing up. But if You want to message someone, post content, join a band, or book a rehearsal room โ€” You will need an account. Registration takes about a minute.

How Do I Find Musicians Near Me?

Open the musicians feed and use filters:

  • Set Your city or allow location access for "near me" results.
  • Adjust the radius โ€” from a few kilometers (neighborhood) to hundreds (entire region).
  • Filter by specialization: drums, vocals, guitar, sound engineering, etc.
  • Switch to map view to see results as pins. Tap a pin to open the profile.

The same approach works for bands, organizations, and classifieds.

What Is "Na Dushe"?

"Na Dushe" (from Russian โ€” roughly "from the soul" or "what is on my mind") is IMM's short-form post format. It is where musicians share thoughts, reflections, studio stories, creative breakthroughs, or just what is on their mind musically. Think of it as a music-focused microblog within the community โ€” not a general social media feed.

How Does Rehearsal Booking (Reptochka) Work?

End-to-end scenario:

  1. An organization publishes rehearsal rooms โ€” with descriptions, photos, schedules, and pricing notes.
  2. You browse available rooms, pick a time slot that works.
  3. You submit a booking request (maybe with a comment like "need PA system").
  4. The organization host reviews and confirms (or declines / suggests an alternative).
  5. You both see the booking status (pending โ†’ confirmed โ†’ completed or cancelled).
  6. Payment happens according to the organization's process (online payment may not be available in all versions).

Not all organizations use Reptochka โ€” only those that publish rooms and enable booking.

When Is Consent Required?

Two main moments:

  • Registration: You accept the Privacy Policy and Terms when creating an account. No checkbox โ€” no account.
  • Guest forms: if You fill a contact or support form as a guest and it asks for Your name or email, You must accept Privacy/Terms first.

If we make material changes to legal documents, the app may ask You to re-consent on Your next launch. You will see a clear screen explaining what changed.

What Is device_id?

It is a random string generated and stored on Your device โ€” like a local bookmark. IMM uses it for:

  • Tracking which guest consent records belong to Your device (so if You agreed to Terms as a guest, we know).
  • Enabling "Delete my data" for guests (we know which data is Yours by device_id).

It is not a government ID. It is not used for GPS tracking or advertising. It stays on Your device and is only sent to the server for consent/delete flows. See the Privacy Policy for full details.

How Do I Delete My Data?

Step by step:

  • If You are a guest: go to Settings โ†’ "Delete my data". This removes guest data linked to Your device_id from our servers.
  • If You have an account: go to Account / Settings โ†’ "Delete account". Your profile, posts, messages, and associated data will be removed or anonymized per the deletion flow.

Some records (consent audit logs, certain security events) may be retained for legal compliance โ€” see Privacy Policy, section on Retention.

Which Languages Are Supported?

The app UI and these Info/legal pages are available in English, Russian, and French. On the website, language variants use path prefixes: /ru/about-imm for Russian, /fr/about-imm for French. The default (no prefix) is English.

Can I Use Social Login?

Where enabled โ€” yes. The flow:

  1. On the registration/login screen, You see a consent checkbox (Privacy + Terms).
  2. Check it, then tap the social login button (Google, Apple, etc. โ€” depends on configuration).
  3. Authenticate with the social provider.
  4. Your IMM account is created or linked.

You remain responsible for the security of Your linked social account.

How Does Moderation Work?

IMM has multiple levels:

  • Entity hosts (band leaders, collaboration managers, organization admins) can manage content and memberships in their spaces.
  • Platform moderators handle reported content through a moderation hub.
  • Reporting: if You see something wrong, use in-app report tools or the Support form. Include context.

Consequences for violations range from content removal to account suspension/termination. Read the full Community Guidelines for details.

What If I Find a Bug or Have a Suggestion?

Use the in-app Support form โ€” available from the menu. Describe what happened, what You expected, and any error messages You saw. Screenshots help. We read every submission.

Is IMM Free?

The core features โ€” browsing, profiles, messaging, feeds, bands, collaborations, basic organization tools โ€” are free. Specific premium or paid features (if any) will be clearly marked. Rehearsal booking connections are free for users; organizations manage their own pricing for rooms.

Who Reviews the Legal Pages (Privacy, Terms, Cookie, Imprint)?

The current texts are AI-assisted drafts prepared for the Owner and a lawyer to review. They are not legally binding until approved, versioned, and published for production. The Imprint contains placeholder company details that will be filled before launch.
